How to Write an Online Profile

Your online profile is your first and best chance to let readers know what excites you and your preferences in a partner. Make it nothing less than captivating.

1. Create a magnetic headline. Refrain using generic or boring phrases. "Let's have a great time!" is a headline without any useful information and is overused. Find something unique about yourself and incorporate that into your headline.

2. Capture them with the first line of your essay to keep them reading. Do not repeat information from your profile such as, "I am tall handsome blue eye..." Pick something that truly defines you such as, "Have you ever gone surfing?" or "My massages will melt you away."
3. Avoid using lots of I’s statements, Such as I like this, or I am that. “Boring”.
4. Keep your essay at about 200 words in length. Disclose enough information but leave some mystery for later. If it is larger, you may be providing too much.
5. Keep your essay positive. Negative comments will drive people away.
6. Talk about what you DO want rather than what you DON'T. For example, rather than say, "I'm not looking for someone without a college degree," try, "I tend to be attracted to educated types." This says the same thing but sounds gentler.
7. Be realistic in your short-answer responses. For example, if you are a 50 year-old man who's looking for women 20 to 30, you're not going to attract many women.
8. Essay must be funny and creative. This means leaving out trite sayings such as "walks on the beach" or "candlelit dinners." Be more creative than that. Online profiles that say, "I want to meet someone with a good personality and gorgeous," beg the question, "Dugh, who doesn't?" This is a small sample of my profile:

Can you create a responsive online profile? Avoid the following in your profile.

• Lewd nickname- having one suggests low morality or immature character. Ex. Getlaid69
• No partner requirements- including your preferences will save you time and headaches because it filters the responses providing the right choices.
• No photo- it produces minimal results. Post your best smiling and clean looking photo you have.
• Bare ad- without any personal or interesting information, no one will be interested to reply.
